Baby B's Back in Business!

Over the past few weeks, things have randomly stopped working on my bike, Baby B. It seemed like each day, I would notice something new not working that had been working just fine when I bought the bike 2 months ago. As of yesterday morning, the list of things no longer working included my horn, headlight, blinkers, speedometer, odometer, and electric starter AND my bike would constantly make a clicking sound AND would completely stall randomly, like when I came to a stop at a red light, in front of dozens of cars that probably wouldn't be very happy if the light turned green and I couldn't go. I've been trying to take Baby B to the mechanic for the past week, but couldn't find one I could trust. Then, one of my co-workers told me I could take it to a Honda service center (since my bike is, in fact, a Honda) which was near work. Fabulous! I went there yesterday on my lunch break, only to discover that they are only open from 8:30 to 12 and then again from 1 to 5:30. Of course! So, I came back a few hours later thinking that I would just drop her off and pick her back a few days later. But I was told to take a seat while they fixed everything. Basically, long story short, all it took was two hours, a new battery, a new low beam light bulb, a new gear, an oil change, and a tune up and she was running good as new! Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. I really appreciated it. When it was time for me to leave, they kept wondering "but who is going to drive it home?" Because it couldn't possibly be this white girl sitting here. Oh, but it is.
