And, if I thought I got stared at before... oh my goodness. You would think that I had two heads the way people stare at me when I ride by. But, then again, I'm pretty sure I am the first white girl to ever ride a motorcycle in Cebu. It's a big deal to see any white person on a motorbike, but a woman? Forget it!

Baby B
The day has come! I have found freedom through a small 110 cc Honda MRX which I affectionately call "Baby B." In the past few days, I have discovered that I was born to ride in the Philippines! It is absolutely thrilling - dodging jeepneys, taxis, potholes, people, dogs, roosters, and monsoon rains... Trying to find the perfect balance between driving defensively and driving aggressively in a place where basic traffic rules are rarely followed and lane lines are merely symbolic... I LOVE it!!!! I don't think my mom is quite as thrilled. Sorry mom! But, oh, the freedom to go wherever I want whenever I want without having to depend on anyone else. Today, I went riding in the province just outside of Cebu City and it was absolutely beautiful. Riding out in the provice will definitely be my stress reliever. To be able to just get out of the city and away from everything and go for a ride... who could ask for anything more.
Forget it!
In case you were wondering about her name... We were going to call her Bumble Bee, but Francis' Yellow VW Bus has already taken that name... so instead, we went with Baby B!
